Support the film

IDA_PrimaryLockup_white.jpg

Thank you for your interest in supporting our IDA fiscally sponsored project. There are several
methods you can use to make your donation. Please follow the appropriate instructions below to
ensure a timely delivery.

Our project's four-digit film ID is #5616.
IDA’s EIN is 95-3911227.

You can donate to our IDA fiscally sponsored project through:
1. Checks
2. Direct Wire or ACH Transfers
3. Matching Gifts
4. Stock and Securities
5. Online Credit Card Transactions
6. Donor-Advised Funds

1. Checks
All check donations must be made out to International Documentary Association (or IDA) with
the project title and film ID number clearly noted, preferably in the check’s memo line. If the
mailing address on the check is a P.O. Box, please provide a residential address for our records.
We recommend sending checks via tracked or registered mail, or a courier service like FedEx or
UPS.

Mailing address:
IDA
Attention: Fiscal Sponsorship
3600 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 1810
Los Angeles, CA 90010-2622

2. Direct Wire or ACH Transfers
Direct wire and ACH transfers to our fiscal sponsorship account are the fastest and most secure
ways to make a donation.
Bank transfers need to be made directly from your bank portal, using
the information below.

Please email sponsorship@documentary.org for IDA’s bank information.

IMPORTANT: All ACH or wire transfers MUST be in U.S. dollars. Please indicate film ID or
project title in the Notes or Reference section.

3. Stock & Securities
We are also able to accept stock donations through our brokerage account. Stocks arrive with
no identifying information, so please let IDA or the project director know that you have made a
contribution. You will need the following information to make a gift of stock to IDA in support of
your project:

Account Name: International Documentary
Bank: Wells Fargo Investments (WellsTrade)
Address: 625 Marquette Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55402
Phone: 800-872-3377
DTC number (4 digits): 0141
Account Number: W81872839

IMPORTANT: While we will do our best to sell and transfer stock donations as quickly as
possible, due to the unpredictability of the stock market, we cannot guarantee that the donation
will not lose any value between the time that it is donated and the time it is sold. It is very
possible for a stock to gain value. In this case, any increase in value will be credited to the
project less IDA cost allocation.

4. Matching Gifts
IDA is able to process and accept donations from businesses that offer a gift matching program
to employees. This means that if you make a donation to an eligible non-profit, the company will
match it up to a certain amount or percentage. If you would like your employer to match a
donation to an IDA fiscally sponsored project, please contact the appropriate person at your
workplace before making the donation. Each company has its own rules and procedures, and in
some cases, you may need to make the initial donation through a gift matching platform, such

as Benevity. Please let the IDA office know if your donation is being matched, so they can make sure
to track the funds as they arrive.

IMPORTANT: Please note that some companies can take up to several months to process
matching gifts.

5. Online Credit Card Donations via Allyra
If you would like to make a donation using a credit or debit card, you can use the project’s online
fundraising page at https://www.documentary.org/project/asylum-not-abandoned

After making your donation, you will automatically receive an email receipt
from Allyra, the external fundraising platform the IDA partners with for online donations. The donation
will show up as INTL DOCUMENTARY ASSN on your credit card statement.

If you are making a donation from outside the United States and are having difficulties
accessing Allyra, please contact the IDA at sponsorship@documentary.org

IMPORTANT: Allyra charges extra platform and credit card fees, and works best for small
donations. We don’t recommend using Allyra for large donations or eChecks. For direct bank
transfers, please use ACH.

6. Donor-Advised Funds
Each Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) has its own procedure for grant recommendations. Generally,
recommendations can be made online, via phone call, or mail. You will need IDA’s EIN number

(95-3911227) for this step. You will be asked if you would like to attach a special purpose to your grants.

This is where you should add the film title and film ID. For example: “This grant is for the fiscally
sponsored project Asylum: Not Abandoned (Film ID: 5616).” The DAF will then verify that IDA is a qualified
501(c)(3) and process the fund request, usually via check or bank transfer. Note that you usually
have the option to grant anonymously.

IMPORTANT: IDA does not provide tax-deductible receipts or acknowledgement letters for
donations made through a Donor-Advised Fund, as you have already made a tax-deductible
donation to the DAF.

Please contact at sponsorship@documentary.org if you have questions or need assistance.
